Our 7.0" pedal clutch was originally
designed for the Pro-Stock Truck class. However with NHRA’s
discontinuation of that class, we have continued to manufacture this unit
for the sportsman categories.
This unit is available in 7075 T6 aluminum
or 6AL4V Titanium. Currently we have several lever designs to accommodate
many applications.
The aluminum cover is reinforced adjacent
to the spring for increased rigidity in the cover. Symmetrically placed
screws on the pressure plate insure proper clamping force on the heat
shields, and to reduce the stress on the pressure plate for consistent
flatness. Our springs are custom made from the finest materials and are
stress relieved for consistent spring rate and long life. Flywheels are
available for a variety of engine/ crank flange dimensions, as well as
ring gear diameter and tooth count. As with all or our units they are
available with 2 different types of metallic coatings or if you prefer no
coating. All parts are available with or without a friction-less coating.
The aluminum clutch units with bolt on
steel facings weigh 7.5lbs.
